Psalm 30 for Hanukah:

(It is appropriate to recite this Psalm on any or all of the days or nights of Hanukah)

A Psalm, a song of dedication of the Temple, by

David. I exalt You, L-rd, for You have uplifted me,

and did not let my enemies rejoice over me. L-rd,

my G-d, I cried out to You, and You healed me.

L-rd, You have raised up my soul from the grave;

You have kept me alive, that I should not descend

to the pit. Sing to the L-rd, His pious ones, and

give thanks to His holy Name.  For HIs anger

endures but a moment, when He is conciliated there

is life. In the evening one lies down weeping, but

joy will come in the morning. In my security I

thought, "I shall never falter." But, L-rd all is by

Your favor - You supported my greatness with

might; when You concealed Your countenance, I

was alarmed. I called to You, O L-rd, and I

appealed to my L-rd. What gain is there in my

death, in my going down to the greave? Will the dust 

praise You? Will it proclaim Your truth? L-rd hear

and be gracious to me; L-rd, be my Helper! You

have turned my mourning into dancing; You have

transformed my lament and girded me with joy.

There my soul shall sing to You and not be

stilled; L-rd my G-d, I will thank You forever.
